The annual conference of the Florida Authors and Publishers Association (Hallard Press is a Sponsor) kicks off at noon at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace hotel and will see non-stop activities throughout Friday and Saturday including the presentation of the Presidents Book Awards on Saturday evening.
Five Hallard Press authors are finalists in different medal categories.

Awards were announced in over 30 categories with submissions from across the US and overseas. “Winning an award of this caliber demonstrates the incredible writing ability of our authors,” said Hallard Press Managing Director Nancy Hellekson. Recipients will be able to use the award medal to boost their marketing efforts.
Hallard Press Creative Director John Prince will be presenting a workshop on Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm—Typography: An Overlooked Factor in Book Design
John has spent a lifetime as a creative director (writer/designer) and in senior management at advertising and marketing agencies in the U.S. and Canada where he has won several national and international awards for his work. He is currently creative director at Hallard Press where he is a partner. His responsibilities include cover and interior design, editing, and business development.
