Here’s a handy chart to answer your question.
For most book projects, JPGs are an appropriate format to use, but there are times when you should use PNGs. See the chart below.

Katherine, I don’t know what happened. It worked last night in the test, but this morning the chart was missing. I’ve corrected it and resent it.
