Bring and Take

Bring and Take

Is there a Difference Between the Two?

The difference between “bring” and “take” is direction. If you’re moving something to a person, use “bring.” If you’re moving something away from a person, use “take.”

Examples:

You bring someone dessert.

You take away the dishes.

  1. Many thanks for the clarification. I’ve used both, sometimes correctly, sometimes not, but always wondered about that.
